Last Updated: Apr 01, 2013 12:17PM MDT
Having trouble with directory and/or file permissions for your deployment?
Often times the permissions of files and directories can be changed by installing plugins, moving and copying content, or simply by accident.

When permissions are incorrect you begin to experience a number of issues related to your deployment.
In order to fix the permissions, you may use the Supervisor account (and sudo) to correct the permissions manually.

Not sure you know what permissions the files and directories of your deployment should have?
We've got you covered.

At the bottom of this article, you may download a script called "fixPermissions" that when run from your home directory will set all files and directories to the correct permissions.

Follow these guidelines for correct usage of the fixPermissions script:
NOTE:  It's best to set the permissions for an entire directory to ensure all files stored within are correctly set as well.

usage:
bash fixPermissions.sh --user='system_user' --dir='/full/path/to/fix'
Fix general permissions for a directory
--user        System user from Standing Cloud's Console
--dir         Full path to the directory to fix
